I'm Home

It was a fashion blur. A packed performance for Eryn Brinie, meeting Vera Wang who ran her fingers through my hair and said " gorgeous!". I wanted to burry my face in my skirt like a little girl at disney land meeting a princess for the first time. Alexander Wangs after party was a 10. Santo Gold and a post soiree cheeseburger the perfect combo. Not to mention the fact that it took place at a gas station. None more fitting for moi. Pics and vids to follow. My fridge is empty and i'm ravenous.

This weekend I got a sneak peak of some fabulous new products by Stila Cosmetics that I will fill you in on when they debut. They invited me try some products out and share a little bit about the make up process as an artist, esepcially on the road and I gladly obliged. I love their make up! Thanks Stila for inviting little ol me to get dolled up and visit for a spell...

Last Night

I want to thank everyone for coming to my show last night. It was packed! I really feel like the music came together well and I look forward to having tour dates lined up soon. Will keep you posted... Last night was the first time i've ever been singing and applause broke out in the middle of a song. It was an intense moment. Thanks for being there! love

Lend A Helping Hand

I am looking for an LA girl to run merch tomorrow at Hotel Cafe. There's a free cd and t-shirt in it! And you can probably catch most of the show. Must be 21+ Hotel Cafe is not an all ages venue. The only other requirements are that you are available to be in hollywood from 8:45 - about 10:30 pm tomorrow, reasonably friendly, trustworthy with a small sum of money & know how to give exact change. Experience a plus. Please reply to music@kateearl.com.

I will be touring in the future so I'm also looking to build a street team. Anyone, anywhere is welcome to hit that address as well if you wish to join the family. Looking for folks willing to poster, flyer and run merch in the cities we visit. If you have special street team type talents, we'd love to know. Gracias & I'll see you at the show!

Milestone.

I blog a bit. I try to let y'all into my life so you can take this journey with me. Here is the chronology of my blogging. I started in 2002 on a hand me down mac. The one with the handle on top that spit a cd out in front, came in all colors... Mine was a turquoise color. I found a matching sewing table at a thrift store there was just enough room for the computer and a keyboard and a few hello kitty stationary items. Well that was my "office" for a couple years then I started to travel in 2005. I mildly kept up my blog. Here and there as events unfolded. Over this period, slowly ramping up to taking it seriously a year and a half ago. Then blogging happened from a couch or a cafe or a kitchen table, mostly from bed. Mostly a laptop on my stomach and a neck ache when finished. FINALLY, this past weekend. I bought my first brand new desk. Ikea. All $100 worth. I have a swivel chair too. It swivels and everything. Not to brag but there's lumbar support : ) I have an desk, ahem, an office, it's official. Please direct all mail to my new headquarters cause it has a desk to land on. Haha this may seem so boring and trivial but the moment holds special meaning. Perhaps it is a sign of taking "our relationship" (as blogger and reader) to the next level. Perhaps it feels good that I "belong" in that chair. Maybe it feels good that those items belong to me. Whatever the cause, whatever the effect... It's a milestone for me.
